Course Introduction
Unfortunately, creeping, breaking, and noise have become some of the most common career limiting problems that we’re experiencing.
If you're struggling with poor line manners, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But poor line manners can be tackled with a comprehensive, methodical approach.
7-Step Plan OverviewÂ
Achieving steadiness and composure requires a focused plan and real dedication to it's execution.
This video provides an overview of your mini-course. Commit to watching each video and dedicate the next 10 days to diligently applying these lessons. I'll be with you every step of the way.
Step 1
Establish expectations, enforce obedience, and set boundaries in everyday life.
In this video I discuss four areas you need to consider making adjustments to; Expectations, Boundaries, Obedience Enforcement, and Consistency.
After all, if your dog doesn’t practice good manners at home, why would they suddenly flip a switch, walk neatly to the line, and sit quietly to watch the birds during tests? Give that some thought!

Discussing Next Steps
Step 2
Create a training environment that closely resembles the environment your dog experiences in competition.
The testing and trialing environment is highly stimulating for your dog, with various sights, sounds, smells, and rewards triggering adrenaline, dopamine, and endorphins. While these effects are significant, you can minimize their impact by recreating a similar environment during training, conditioning your dog to the stimuli.
Steps 3 & 4
Do training that focuses specifically on the problem, and consider alternative training tools.
When it comes to teaching your dog a standard, skill or concept, the key to success is a simplified environment, isolating the issue and repetition. In this video, I discuss essential drills and tools to elevate obedience standards and reduce movement and noise on the line.
